From your first account to a lifetime record: follow the steps below to understand what to prepare, what to review and when registration is complete.
Create a NEBR account using an email address you can access, confirm your email and complete your keeper profile. If you already have an account, sign in to it. Choosing an account category does not automatically provide breeder approval or additional access.
Select Register a Bird and search for the appropriate species or approved hybrid. If the hybrid is not listed, provide a description for review. The classification helps determine the information required and the bird’s pricing category.
Provide the information you know about your bird, including its name, sex, hatch date or estimated date, and country of birth. Answer the ring and microchip questions and enter any known numbers carefully. Use the available unknown or unreadable options where appropriate rather than guessing.
You can also provide relevant parentage and insurance details. Recorded parentage and insurance information remain subject to their stated verification limits.
Review your information before submitting. Read the registration declaration and follow the Terms and Conditions link, which opens in a new tab. Tick both separate required boxes only after you have read and accepted them.
The Terms explain lifetime registration, including continued operation by NEBR Ltd or an agreed successor, and what would happen if the register were to close.
Submitting creates a registration request; it does not by itself complete registration or take payment. Any required validation or classification review must be completed before the request can proceed.
Review the itemised quotation when it is available. It shows the registration charge, any applicable pricing reductions and selected extras. NFC card inclusion depends on the bird’s category; where offered, an optional card costs extra.
Where payment is required and checkout is available, follow the payment steps after reviewing your quotation. The registration charge is a one-off payment for that registration, rather than an annual renewal charge. Other separately priced services may carry additional charges.
If you leave checkout or return from the payment page, check the latest registration and payment status in your account before trying again. A return page alone is not confirmation that payment or registration is complete.
Once the required checks, payment and registration steps are completed, your account will show the completed registration and permanent NEBR Bird ID. Keep that number with your bird’s records. A saved request reference is different from a permanent Bird ID.
Use the Keeper Portal to view records, add permitted supporting documents and identification photographs, and report relevant changes. Follow the transfer process when a bird changes keeper, report loss or theft, record recovery, and report a death when appropriate.
Some amendments require review and historical information is retained. Lifetime service continues while NEBR Ltd or an agreed successor operates the register, as explained in the Terms.
Registration certificates and NFC identification cards have separate issuing and delivery steps. They are not produced simply by creating a request or returning from checkout. Certificate and card issuing, activation and delivery, and public online verification, are not yet available.
NEBR registration is an independent record-keeping service. It does not by itself establish legal ownership or replace CITES documents or statutory requirements. The register is operated by NEBR Ltd, company number 17525821.
